Mrs. Lee Phipps, Founder, President & Chief Executive Officer
Lee Phipps has more than 30 years of management and leadership experience. With a strong concentration in Hospitality and Healthcare, Lee has worked in government and the private industry for Marriott Hotels, U.S. Department of Labor as well as several medical practices.
Lee has core competencies in restaurant operations, logistics, employee relations, management development, organizational development, physician recruiting and financial management.
Lee has served in several corporate executive positions. As a General Manager for Marriott Hotels, Lee was the recipient of the Triumph of Spirit Award for her exemplary leadership. As Director of Hotel & Lodging for the Potomac Job Corp under the U.S. Department of Labor, Lee developed a training and placement program, graduating and placing 93% of her students. As the Practice Administrator of Henry Anesthesia Associates, Lee was successful in securing a multi-year exclusive anesthesia and pain contract with the Piedmont Clinic. Additionally, Lee was able to get GA State approval and opened Pain Consultants at Piedmont as an Ambulatory Surgery Center.
She currently serves as the Administrator of iThrive Christian Church and serves on the Board of Directors of MECA.
Lee holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Hampton University, with a major in Business Management. Her graduate studies were completed in Public Policy. She holds a Certification from Cornell University in Diversity, Equity & Inclusion.
Lee is married to Chares W. Phipps and they share 6 children.
Charles Phipps, Chief Financial Officer & Partner
Charles Phipps brings a wealth of experience as an entrepreneur and a distinguished career as a businessman. Prior to joining Sovran Management Group, LLC, Mr. Phipps was President and Owner of the Charles W. Phipps Insurance Agency, dba, State Farm Insurance in the Atlanta Metropolitan area. Charles enjoyed 32 successful years with State Farm as an agency owner and received numerous awards, including the Regional Vice President’s Award to the top five agency managers in the State of Georgia.
Prior to joining State Farm, Charles was employed for 15 years at Cummins Diesel Engine Co. of Columbus, Indiana. Mr. Phipps served as Director of Product Management overseeing a professional staff of 15, with a sales and gross margin responsibility in excess of $200,000,000.
Mr. Phipps holds a B.S. in Business from Morris Brown College and received his MBA from Xavier University.
Mr. Phipps is married to Mrs. Lee Phipps, together they have 6 children and enjoy 4 grandchildren. The Phipps live in Henry County, Georgia, where they enjoy golf, swimming and traveling.
